Lynne Wooden is a beauty expert with over 16 years experience in Washington, DC’s top salons. As a hair stylist, colorist and extentionist, Lynne is regarded as the stylist to D.C.’s power brokers and fashionistas. She has been a featured beauty expert in national and local media including Real Simple, In Style and Washingtonian magazines, WOL radio and Fox 5 News.
Lynne’s talent quickly gained her the reputation of being a leading colorist in Washington, DC and she is often consulted by beauty publications and other stylists for tips. Lynne’s recognition as one of the best colorists and extentionists stems from her commitment to continual education and training with the world’s leading beauty brands and experts including Schwarzkopf, Wella, Clairol, Joico, Great Lengths, and Dreamcatchers by Paris Hilton.
Lynne considered a career in fashion in New York City while attending Howard University. Always a creative person with a great eye for style, Lynne decided to attend cosmetology school to purse her passion. Over the years, she has worked with the Bill Lawrence Salon, Ultimate U, BO26 Hair Studio, and was the owner of Salon Lynne.
HAIR CARE: She constantly seeks out the newest, most advanced technologies available for shampooing, conditioning, repair and styling products to offer her clients the best quality available. She has assisted clients with restoring damaged hair and treatments for hair loss due to over processing. She also works with clients who suffer hair loss due to medical related problems and stress. Over the years she has developed a referral relationship with two of the leading dermatologists in the Washington DC area. Lynne also has a particular interest in educating preteens (and their parents) on the importance of proper hair care and maintenance.
HAIR EXTENSIONS: Lynne has extensive experience customizing extensions to fit the needs of each client utilizing the techniques of sewn-in, clip-in, Great Lengths and DreamCatchers. Prior to any extension service consultation is required.
OCCASION & RED CARPET STYLING: hairstyles ranging from trendy to conservative in addition to a red carpet finish and bridal bliss styling. Lynne has worked in the entertainment industry on independent films, music videos, commercials and national beauty and lifestyle magazines. Her continued clients include Fox 5 Television personalities Allyson Seymore, Shawn Yancy, Channel 7’s Maureen Bunyon, Access Hollywood’s Host Shaun Robinson, and popular television personality Paul Wharton.
